The world exists as a construct of our minds. If you close your eyes, you have taken away all the colors of the world, if you plug your nose, you have taken away all the smells of the world, if you close you mouth, you have taken away the tastes of the world, if you plug your ears, you have taken away all the sounds of the world, and if you never move again, you have taken away all the touching in the world.
What are you left with? Stillness, yet you still are able to breath in and out, as that mechanism is done for us. Which means that there is something impacting us all the time, even when there is nothing left to experience. The body still inhales and exhales, the mind still searches for mysteries to unravel, even when the outward senses are numbed.
What is this? The same mechanism acts on us while we dream, the mind is able to disconnect from reality and experience a different state, however, not forever, as it is required to always come back when the body is "rested". What is the mechanism for this "rested" period that wakes a person back up to experience reality once again? Yet when we are overtired we start to blur into this "dreamland" and can actually start to hallucinate. The body runs on cycles, it cannot stay awake for long for many days nor can it stay asleep for many nights. It is required to paralyze the body for a specific time every day for a reason unknown. Is the body required to heal? Or is the spirit required to wander? We do not know the ranking of importance on either of those.
We do know that we interact with a physical world daily and we interact with a mystical world nightly, although they seem entirely separate from each-other they are both depended on the different states of consciousness for human existence.
