The shy artists experienced an artist’s block resulting from his inability to find beauty in the world he was living.
He needed to use that unjust and depressing world as a source for his art, but his art did not flow in such a sticky swamp.
Every day, he contemplated the empty wall, his canvas, which he was supposed to turn into a unique art form. He was not sure if it would be a painting, an alto relievo, or a sculpture. He wanted the wall to speak to him, to reveal itself as art, to show him a path.
One day, as he contemplated the empty wall for the nth time, the shy blocked artist overheard someone on TV. “We are hitting a wall here. We’re going nowhere as long as mediocre, corrupt, and cruel people get away with everything. Every innocent person who dies to any of the evils brought about by these monsters becomes a hunting trophy they hang on their walls.”
Then, it hit him. He knew exactly what to do. The shy blocked artists found his way out of that paralyzing state and the wall started to fill itself with all kinds of artifacts and textures. As the news started to report bizarre tragedies happening to infamous public figures, public opinion started to debate whether this was some sort of belated divine justice or the orchestrated actions of an avenging team.
When the exhibit was open to the critics’ eyes, they all agree that they have been blown away by a force of nature. The juxtaposition of sharp rusty objects with shiny blades; blunt objects, terse fabrics and cushions with the four elements of nature; man-made inventions that give, preserve, or take lives with hyper-realistic reliefs of human forms that seemed to struggle to get out of the wall, was an original combination of every art form imaginable.
When asked about his inspiration and technique for such a complex work of art, the shy artist grinned. “I just asked myself what would make the world a better place. The wall spoke to me, just like Michelangelo angels that needed to be set free; only these were demons that needed to be entombed.”
