Transplanting another pumpkin plant 🎃 for the 2025 challenge//Transplantando otra planta de calabaza 🎃 para el desafío 2025

A few days ago, my friend @der-prophet posted a post explaining that he has several pumpkin plants in different locations so he could have several different options in case of any eventuality. So, I told myself I should also try to have others on hand, but if they were already a little too big, it would be better for me since it saves me time and effort.

Yesterday, I saw that some neighbors had one at their house that exactly fit what I was looking for. I couldn't wait any longer since it was the opportunity I was waiting for. So, I asked him to let me take the pumpkin plant. He said yes, since I had to pull it up since it was in his garden. He didn't think it could grow much bigger since the people who pass by there daily might break it. He preferred to do it himself. He then told me I could take it, and I immediately went to the house to get the machete to try to pull it up, being careful not to break the roots. Which turned out to be the best way, and I took it home to plant it.

There I had a little problem since the ones I have are on one side, so I had to find another one. So I went to an uncle's field that borders almost directly on ours and dug a hole that was about the same size I could get in without any problems. Then I covered it with the same soil I had dug out, covering it almost completely to secure it as best as possible.

Then I went to get a bucket of water to water it. Well, I'll wait to see in the next few days if the transplant worked perfectly. Since it's my first time doing it, I might give it 72 hours until Friday. I think that will be enough time to know if I did a good job.

Hace unos días el amigo @der-prophet realizó una publicación explicando qué tiene varias plantas de Calabaza en distintos lugares y así poder tener varias opciones distintas en caso de cualquier eventualidad, entonces me dije que también debía de tratar de tener otras a mano pero si ya estaban un poco grandecitas mejor para mí ya qué ahorro tiempo y esfuerzo.

Ví desde ayer qué justo en la casa de unos vecinos tenían una qué se ajustaba precisamente a lo que estaba buscando entonces no podía esperar más puesto que era la oportunidad qué esperaba así que le pedí permiso a ver si me dejaba llevarme la planta de Calabaza y me dijo que si podía puesto que la debía arrancar ya que cómo está en su jardín no creía que pudiera crecer mucho más debido a qué las personas que transitan por allí a diario la podrían romper entonces prefería hacerlo él mismo, entonces me dijo qué podría llevármela e inmediatamente fuí a la casa a buscar el machete para tratar de arrancarla con cuidado de no romper las raíces lo cuál resultó de la mejor manera y me la llevé para sembrarla en casa.

Hay tenía un problemita puesto que las qué tengo están en un lado así que debía de buscar otro por lo qué me fuí hasta dónde el terreno de un tío que da prácticamente justo con el de nosotros e hice un hoyo más ó menos grande dónde pudiera entrar sin problemas, después tapé con la misma tierra qué había sacado cubriéndola casi en su totalidad para asegurarla de la mejor manera posible.

Luego fuí a buscar un tobo con agua para regarla y bueno esperar a ver en los próximos días si ese transplante funcionó a la perfección puesto que es la primera vez que lo hago quizás le dé hasta el viernes 72 horas creó que serán suficientes para saber si realicé un buen trabajo.
