@untilwelearn. The contest mainly features photos taken with our cell phones, and although these were quick shots since I got home from work a bit tired, I always make time to share some great photos while watering the plants at home. I was surprised by a plant my mom has in a pot.

The first thing I must say about this plant and the flower that grows from it is that I don't know its name (I asked my mom if she knew and she didn't either) but the most striking thing is that it has a beautiful pink color at the base and inside they are white which makes an incredible contrast, it's great; also the leaves are a green color with little spines at the ends of their leaves which make everything much more striking.
Lo primero que debo decir de esta planta y la flor qué nace de ella es qué no conozco su nombre (le pregunté a mí mamá sí lo sabía y tampoco) pero lo más llamativo es que tiene un hermoso color rosado en la base y adentro son blancas lo cuál hace un contraste increíble entre genial; además las hojas son de un color verde con unas espinitas en los extremos de sus hojas qué hacen todo mucho más llamativo.
What makes it even more special for her is that her mother (my grandmother) gave her the plant, so she is very fond of it, and every time one of those flowers blooms, it is her way of remembering her and keeping her always present, as she always does.
Además una cosa qué lo hace aún más especial para ella es qué la planta se la regaló su mamá (mí abuela) por lo cuál le tiene mucho cariño y cada vez que sale una de esa flor es su manera de recordarla y tenerla siempre presente cómo lo siempre lo hace.
