My Junior brother thinks smart work is better than hard work, I agree with him except that my definition of hard work is different from the generic definition of the term.
hard work would mean someone who works really hard, putting in long hours, working extra to earn more, tho that is correct however I redefine hardwork to mean smart work, that means continuing on a whatever it is you do with a creative mindset, constantly find ways to do better
the day i and my junior brother had that conversation, I thought differently about the subject of success, he asked me what I think about hardwork and smart work, I told him i choose smart work, because with smart work you burn less energy yet gain more result while with hardwork you burn more energy yet gain less result
putting this perspectives together I am of the opinion that hardwork won't just guarantee success but rather smart work does produce success..
to understand that statement better, knowing what success really is, is fundamental.
success to me is when a person has achieved a level of mastery in doing something, meaning i must have been doing a particular thing for a long time that is hardwork.
however the mindset isn't just doing it but doing it in a way that propels growth, smart work is hardwork with a mindset of doing it better not just repeating a routine but finding out new ways to do it better that's how success is achieved.
however luck is totally not out of the equation, in everything we do in life we need a little bit of luck to scale through, some persons might not believe in luck but it's real, I believe what we call fate is nature's ways of doing things sometimes it's good sometimes it's bad,
there are many successes that I know that happen not because of hardwork alone but because luck showed up too
success happens because there was hard-smart work involved and a little bit of luck in there.
