How do downvote trails promote growth on Hive?

I answered this in the previous comment, but let me say it again.
Without initiatives to stop the reaping of the pool by the bots, spammers, plagiarists, etc, there would be no pool for most people, the bots and largest stakeholders would suck it all up with votes on one word comments and sockpuppet accounts.

Hive-dr's presence here has insured that small accounts are worth building on.

In the 4 years I have been doing this I have seen much emotional appeal to allow the schemers to continue reaping the pool, but I have never seen a validated accusation out of any of them.

If there is data that says what is happening here is unethical, I have yet to see it.
If you have it, lay it out, let's improve what we are doing here, eh?
