The new Fantasy Premier League season is now live and as with last year, Hive FPL will be running Head to Head leagues alongside the Classic League in 2024/25.

Details on how to join each league will be sent out shortly and as far as the Head to Head leagues are concerned, the specific Division that you are placed in and prizes on offer will be the same as last year unless of course you are one of the 10 accounts that were either promoted or relegated!

Which division will I be in for the Head to Head leagues in 24/25?
Head to Head leagues are only open to those with a confirmed Hive account linked to their FPL team.
As with last season, we'll start with 2 Divisions. Should we get a huge number of new joiners then we may choose to open a 3rd Division.

How and when do I join my division?
Later today, we'll create a separate post with further information and a reminder for our Division 1 players to join their Head to Head league.
The league joining code will be sent to these accounts as a memo within a transaction that will appear in your Hive wallet.
Players will be given 5 days to join the Division 1 league.
If after 5 days, the league hasn't reached 20 players, we will begin inviting those currently listed in Division 2 to join Division 1 until we have a full league (20 teams). The schedule for invites will be 6th placed in Division 2 (23/24 season), 16 placed in Division 1 (23/24), 7th placed in Division 2 (23/24 season), 17 placed in Division 1, etc. etc.
As soon as we have a full league for Division 1, we will open Division 2 for all remaining teams to join.
What happens if I join the wrong division or miss the deadline for joining?
We will boot you out of the division if you join the wrong league but really this shouldn't happen providing that you only use the joining code within your Hive wallet transactions.
We will tag you in a follow-up post once the league opens to remind you that you have 5 days to use the join code in your wallet transactions before we give your spot in Division 1 to someone!
If you attempt to join a division after the deadline, you will be booted out.
I didn't take part in the 23/24 season, can I still join the Head to Head leagues this year?
Yes, you can and you're also welcome to join our Classic League (details on that in another post).
If you are a new player of Hive FPL, we'll invite you to join and share your team name and Hive account in the next couple of weeks.

Will there be promotion and relegation again?
Yes, as with last season it'll be bottom 5 in Division 1 down and top 5 in Division 2 up. If we create a Division 3 we'll update on the promotion/relegation rules (likely to be bottom/top 10)
What are the prizes?
The main prize will still be linked to our Classic League (our winner last year
Head to Head leagues will offer participants the chance to earn Hive on a weekly basis simply by winning their head to head match with another user during that game week.
Prizes for each Division as follows
Division 1 - 1 Hive for an H2H win
Division 2 - 0.5 Hive for an H2H win
The clear incentive here is to remain active within the community, update your team on a weekly basis and get promoted to the higher divisions where prizes are higher!
