Halla my friends, happy middle of the week to you all. It is a blessing to be alive and healthy, if we are to pay for the air we breathe on a daily basis, eeeh go choke you I dey tell you. Being part of the second edition for this week is a good thing to me too more so we are talking about Civilization.
Those that are in the resent in age may not understand so much when we talk about this topic, most we relate mostly with the aid of their history textbook though the historical learning is growing slimmer even more that the slim spaghetti 馃お馃お馃お馃お.
Definition of Terms
Let me see if I can remember a little of what I was taught in my school days. Civilization can be said to be moving from the primitive stage to a more developed era. You can not talk about Civilization without first looking at the word civil, that is referring to people and their way of interaction.
Where were we and where are we?
Those primitive stage are characterized with lots of things ranging from appearance to the way of communication. See some outline I have below which may interest you as we proceed together.
System of Education
In those years the way of education was totally different from what we have now. Did you meet when Pupil's make use of what is called slate to write down what they learn in class. Also when you get to standard 6 you become a teacher and you have a personal car that made life easier. But now, you can see a PhD holder who is an applicant.
Transportation
Way back people travel on camel backs and bicycle. I remember during my secondary school days, there was the provision for a train that we convey the students to their different destinations at a very affordable price but now, the story have changed so much that before you travel you calculate so much and there are many means but you have to hold much money.
Education
My mother use to gist us of how she will have to travel a distance with legs just to get some level of education, due to the inconveniences some persons prefer to just stay home or rent a house close to the school. Today we have schools everywhere both government and private owned schools so we have many choice to make for the kids today. This aspect improved greatly.
Marriage
Marriage use to be by recommendation or betrothal, that's from childhood a parent will get a wife for his son and patiently wait for the lady to be of age. This one is no longer obtainable today.
Dressing
When I watch my parents pictures I laugh so hard but not without a lesson. Our parents dress well well with everywhere covered properly. They make sure that the parts that should be left for private view is left that way without any controversy, but in this civilized era the private parts of the body is left uncovered.
What I Enjoy
The way information is accessable to all at a glance is what I love most about the modernization. Before to get the vital one have to go so far and most of them are hidden from the public for what reason I don't know. Then most times its just the children of the rich that have the best education you can think of, but now with a little money any parent can get good education because the resources are online for all to access
What I Dislike
Because we get all the information we need at our finger tip there is lots of abuse. Particularly in the aspect of dressing the way some persons dress to show off their nudity s so heart breaking. In as much that you have liberty you should not allow safe to get you into trouble. Of a truth someone that is well dressed and covered have more value in sight that someone that is roughly dressed. A times I ask this question, who did this to us?
How Can We Improve
Cover up properly and don't allow the civilization to make you loose sense of value.
