However, formal education is most popular, and society approves of it as the best.
I understand that there are several disadvantages attached to the formal system of education; the exposure, the company, the environment and other things can either make or mar a child.
But honestly, I prefer formal education. There is one thing in life that most people don't understand, we can only show our children the right path to follow, but we can not force them to walk on it.
If you like, hide your child from the world because of the fear of the corrupt system, eventually the child would step out and meet with those things directly.
These days children don't even need to go out to be exposed; right in your home and the surrounding, information will find them.
So, I don't see any reason for fear, let the child go out there and learn with others. One of the beautiful things about public schooling is the fact that it gives room for socialization, discovery, competition, motivation and so on.
I understand that sometimes the curriculum might not be what we want for our children but life is like a laboratory and the people in it are like projects, different things are thrown their way to prepare them for what lies ahead.
The bitter truth is that they will sustain injuries which will become scars that will teach them valuable lessons and no one can escape it.
Instead of depriving the child the opportunity to mingle with others and learn how to survive in society, let them face it.
My kind advice is that any parent who is scared of the public Schooling system due to the kind of influence it has on the students, is for the parent to also be a teacher at home.
Let the child have two schools, let the child learn what the formal education teaches and when the child is back, you teach them what you think is best for them. Edit what needs to be edited, and delete what needs to be deleted.
This way you will create a balance, the child won't miss the opportunity to blend with society and the child won't be void of the necessary things you desire for him/her to learn. This way it's a win, win.
But if the parents stubbornly refuses to follow this rule, or does one and leaves the other, the child will be in trouble.
If you coach them only at home, they will not forgive you if they go out there and find a strange world.
They may eventually blame you for some of their weaknesses for the rest of their lives and if you only allow the children to go to public school and refuse to coach them at home too, they won't also forgive you for not showing them the right way to go.
