🥇 1st places:
This beautiful watercolor landscape captures a serene yet striking sunset scene, utilizing a bold color palette that beautifully separates the warm, vibrant sky from the cool, tranquil ground. The crisp, layered gradient of blue, orange, and yellow in the background creates a compelling contrast with the stark black silhouette of the solitary tree and the lone figure facing the sun. Furthermore, the vivid orange and purple reflection slicing through the snowy blue terrain adds a wonderful sense of depth and movement to the stream, making this a charming, atmospheric piece that successfully evokes a peaceful, contemplative mood.
This digital piece beautifully captures a deeply romantic and whimsical moment, utilizing Autodesk Sketchbook to create a clean, impactful composition. The striking silhouette of the couple on a trekking bike stands out perfectly against the massive, beautifully detailed full moon, which bathes the scene in a soft, ethereal glow. The smooth blue gradient of the starlit night sky adds a lovely sense of atmosphere, while the charming touch of the red, heart-shaped balloons trailing behind them perfectly encapsulates the theme of a "journey called love." It is a wonderfully balanced, heartwarming illustration that feels both magical and serene.
🥈 2nd places:
This traditional graphite sketch is a wonderful study of form and light, demonstrating impressive control over the 9B pencil on the textured sketchpad. The artist's careful observation is clearly evident in the contrast between the detailed, subtly shaded bodies of the two fish and the sharp, dark silhouettes of their shadows directly beneath them. By omitting the physical lines of the water and focusing entirely on these tonal relationships, the piece brilliantly creates the optical illusion of depth and clear liquid, making the fish appear as though they are effortlessly suspended in a sunlit pond. It is a minimalist yet incredibly effective artwork that feels both peaceful and masterfully executed.
This portrait displays an excellent use of a 9B graphite pencil to convey character, texture, and dramatic lighting. The artist effectively captures a distinct personality, using strong, confident cross-hatching and deep shadows to define the folds of the cap and the contours of the face beneath it.
