How Do We Choose The Highlighted Posts?

All of you must be wondering how we picked the authors who get into the highlight. As some of the good curation projects out there, our highlighted authors are also handpicked to ensure that we diversify the content and the recommendations in the highlight. We want this highlight to be a place where people get inspiration, a place to learn something new, and even finding a recommendation.

Hence, throughout the week, the moderators will check the community and manually hand pick the posts. Some factors includes : the post subject, post quality, engagement, personal voice, and general effort.

AuthorTitleDescription
altderaaa@deraaaMY FIRST CLASSIC: JANE EYRE!Jane Eyre, a young girl who's orphaned and abandoned with her cruel Aunt and wicked cousins. Jane depicts(to me) a figure that doesn't mold with society. She is seen as an outcast in the house of the Reeds(mostly because she is different) and thus, ostracized. She's less favored and mostly bullied. Why? Because that's society. No matter what she does, it's never enough. Rather, her actions of obedience are catalyst to her problems...
altmariart1@mariart1Hacia cero - Reseña // Towards zero - Review 🕵️It is a short book written by Aghata Christie that was published in 1944. The new Strange couple is invited to spend a few days visiting Lady Tressilian's house, where Nevile usually goes every year, as it is like her second home. The only problem is that, like every September, the former Mrs. Strange was also invited. Friends and family of those involved consider it not only a bad idea but crazy, but, following the "modern" (for that time) ways of being that two women who have been partners of the same person are friends, everything goes according to plan. The meeting generates tension in the atmosphere, discomfort, and also concern, because there is something else that can be felt hanging around the house, something sinister. Soon there is a murder that involves everyone present in an investigation by a Scotland Yard detective and his nephew, who have the task of finding the culprit and bring justice. Although it is not easy, since everyone could have had a motive to kill...
altpieternijmeijer@pieternijmeijerHistory of the Netherlands' or the independence of the DutchIn my last article I started with my review of the book pictured above, titled 'The history of the Netherlands'. The book is quite massive in its scope, trying to summarize about 2000 years of history, and I found that to tell even a small part of it would require more than one article. Hence this article, as a part two...
altstellify@stellifyJack London - Red Plague // REVIEWThe Red Plague Epidemic in the book; A microbe that causes redness of the whole body kills people in a short time. If the disease enters the body, no one can get rid of it. After the first symptoms appear in the person, the person dies in as little as ten minutes. The world's population is decreasing due to the epidemic. The remaining ones formed colonies and reproduced and became a few hundred individuals at most. After the Red Plague, the world is returning to primitive life. It is very difficult to survive in this life. From the "old" world before the pandemic, Granser tells stories to his grandchildren. Thanks to these stories, we learn about the post-epidemic events thanks to Granser...
