Hello, plant power community and food lovers greetings. Yesterday working in the garden the rhubarb plant is growing very fast so picked some stems of rhubarb I make jam, pie, soup, and cake from rhubarb but this time I want to do some experiments with it and tried making some summer drinks.
My rhubarb and raspberries drink for the summer.
the ingredients
7-8 stalks of rhubarb. freshly picked from the garden.
1 cup of raspberries frozen from last year's harvest from the garden.
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 lime
3-4 cm ginger.
Peeled rhubarb stalks and took off the fibers from the stems and cut them into small pieces.
it is approximately 400 grams
Cut the ginger into small pieces
In the pan mixed 400-gram rhubarb, ginger pieces, and 1/2 liter water and keep it cooking on medium heat until it gets soft.
In another pan, cook 1 cup of raspberries with 1 cup of water.
After rhubarb is cooked strain it using a strainer and cheez cloth so nice thin juice strain through.
Separate ginger pieces grind and juice into the rhubarb juice.
Then raspberries are also strained. Discard all fibers and seeds.
1 cup of raspberry juice, 500 ml rhubarb juice, and 1/2 lime and sugar mixed together.
and cook for 5-6 minutes at medium heat.
The cooked juice went through the strainer once again.
Discard all rest of the fibers and seeds and after cooling down filled the bottle.
the 750ml juice is made.
The experiment is successful. Might work with some other berries or fruits also I will try and come up with an update or somebody can try it.
1/3 glass of juice+ 2/3 glass of water mixing together natural homemade drink for summer.
And the taste is so delicious Now I will make more. we have plenty growing in the garden now. Thank you馃檹.
