Hi friends, after a while I am going to share something which have with me. If time space allows me I will be active here after to see all your posts and share mine too.
I will introduce some snack items which is common in our place. This photo is from a very small roadside tea shop.
The main ingredient is mung bean or green gram. Mung bean is moderately boiled and water is filtered out. Then it is mixed with sugar and scrapping of coconut. It is made in to small ball shape and dipped in all purpose flour / refined flour which is in a pasty form with little salt. They deep fried in oil. Tasty and healthy item ready.
Final preparation is just like the first item, but the ingredients are different. Sliced Big onion flakes are fried in oil with salt and spicy items. Rice flour, gram flour and all purpose flour and mixed in some proportion with salt. The fried onion is mixed with the flour mix and deep fried into small sizes.
Bengal gram boiled with added salt. Then it is mixed with spicy ingredients and kneaded. Then that kneaded thing is taken into small balls, and flatten with hand to form a flying disc shape. Then it is deep boiled.
Black gram is ground into pasty form. Pepper salt and very little pieces of onion slices are added to the flour paste. Then taken in the hand in small size, flatten little then a hole is made in center. Just like donuts. Deep fried.
Socked rice is ground and jaggery powder is added with cashew nuts and dried grapes and mixed well. Should be deep fried in Ghee, but in tea stall it is done in oil.
Crushed rice is made into thick pasty form. Salt, pepper and cumin seeds are added mixed. Made into flat round shape and fried.
Spiced and boiled vegetables are wrapped in thing all purpose flour sheets. They wrapped in to form a triangular shape and deep fried.
