Happy new year!
It's that time again where we get new planners for the year and some may be doing their bullet journals instead. For this year, I'm moving my daily tasks to planners because doing layouts for Bullet Journals every month takes a lot of time and I want to dedicate my time somewhere else. I also know that I can just make some boxes in BuJos like the way I do without the designs and stuff lol but even making lines take time, you know?
For this year, I have chosen to do all my daily tasks and content planning in a separate planners so I don't have to make the lines and layouts myself. I have mentioned before that I prefer customizing my bullet journal because there I can make what's necessary for me that I actually use because having a lot will just make me confused and overwhelmed. So I was looking for a very minimalist planner for this purpose, those with only monthly and weekly layouts.
The perfect one I found was from this brand called Iconic and thankfully I found them in Shopee haha. I found this brand in Bangkok and in fact I had the other planner for last year but ended up not using it cos it didn't have a weekly layout (which I needed) but I realized they sell other layouts as well that has the weekly, which is exactly what I need!
For my bullet journal, I'm still gonna do it but will mainly have habit trackers, goals, and focus more on the life events rather than tasks. But they will be very minimal since I want to put my creativity elsewhere.
Let's start from the freebies I got with the package haha. I love stickers! And I'm gonna be using them freely on the planners because unlike my bullet journals, I won't have monthly themes which put restrictions tbh. :P
They ship from Korea, and based on my experience they really love giving freebies.
First one I got is this tiny planner. It's very handy and so easy to carry + the faux leather cover is just really nice. It's so nice to hold.
It has pockets on the front and side.
What I really love about this planner is it's as minimal as possible. I don't like too much details just like the Hobonichi brand. I really appreciate that they only put what's necessary and even Korean holidays were written so tiny.
The weekly looks like this. Honestly surprising since the notebook is tiny yet it doesn't feel tiny since all the space is used up.
After the weekly layouts are some free space for you to write on. It's probably about 40 pages of free space and I really like it this way. The paper is also really good. They're thick (maybe 120 gsm?) and not too white nor cream colored. It's the best part for me tbh and it's so nice to write on.
That's it tbh haha. Like I said, I really appreciate how minimal it is so it is still quite customizable to some extend and only have the ones I need.
Next one is the same planner as the one I got for last year except it has the weeklies.
I will use this as my content planner. Having one is so useful cos I have an overview of which I will post about for the day but also I can write the ideas for posts somewhere so if I don't know what to post anymore or what's in the backlog then I can just check that page haha.
It's an A5 size which is the normal size for notebooks.
This one has a yearly overview which looks really nice tbh.
Straight to the monthly. :D
Here comes the weekly. :D It's so perfect for what I'm trying to use this for because I can write the list of steps in each day to make the content (just like the daily tasks) and ideas for the lower half. Since I'm using this for content, there's so many ideas I have that are often missed or not executed just cos they're a lot so I need to write them somewhere else it will be forgotten.
And the last pages are just grids for whatever is needed... and that's it! Just perfect for me haha.
The last one is for my daily tasks for personal stuff not content-related ones.
Like the other one, it has a yearly overview but I assume the red ones are Korean holidays... which I don't need haha. Also I just noticed the boxes are also so tiny which I assume are suited for Korean alphabet.
The weekly pages are wide and big with little space for random stuff which is also perfect for my daily tasks. I tend to write even the routine-part of my day (like showering, etc) so I will need bigger boxes. :D
Oh there's also world map and Korea map at the end of the page. :D
That's it, really. I just wanted to share what the planners look like especially inside because a lot of times they sell planners without showing what's inside... which is so frustrating.
I also looked at some other planners and a lot of them have so many unnecessary stuff included even if they say it's "minimalist". So it's a relief to find the planner that works for me so I don't have to do my bullet journal for that. You can check their website in case you want the same one and see if you can order from there but they're also on Shopee too as far as I know. :D
