Today I'm going to show you how you can adjust your motorcycle chain tension, but first we need to know why your motorcycle chain tension is important.

En el día de hoy le voy a enseñar como puede ajustar la tensión de la cadena de tu motocicleta, pero primero necesitamos saver porque la tensión de la cadena de tu motocicleta es importante

Your motorcycle chain must be well thought out because if your motorcycle chain does not have the correct tension it can reduce the life of the chain and the entire drive kit such as the chainring and sprocket.

La cadena de tu motocicleta debe estar bien tensa ya que si la cadena de tu motocicleta no tiene la tensión correcta se puede reducir la vida útil de la cadena y todo el kit de arrastre como el plato y el piñón

What we will need in order to tighten the chain of your motorcycle, we will need

Two adjustable wrenches
And a pair of pliers

Lo que vamos a necesitar para poder >tensar la cadena de tu motocicleta >,necesitaremos:

Dos llaves ajustables
Y un alicate a presión

First, we first loosen the axle of the rear wheel of your motorcycle, it is not necessary to loosen it completely, only that the wheel can be moved back and forth to tighten the chain.

Primero aflojamos el eje de la rueda trasera de tu motocicleta, no es necesario q lo aflojes completamente solo son que se puede mover la rueda hacia a adelante y atrás para poder tensar la cadena

Now loosen the nuts that prevent the tensioners from moving, then proceed to tighten the screws that are on the tensioners so that the chain is tensioned, it is important that if you give 2 turns on one side on the other side you also have to give two turns to make this easier, the tensioners have lines that must match on both sides.

Ahora aflojamos las tuercas que hacen que no se muevan los tensores,luego procedemos a apretar los tornillos que están en los tensores para que cadena se tence ,es importante que si de un lado das 2 vueltas en el otra lado también le tienes que dar dos vueltas para hacer esto más fácil los tensores tienen unas líneas que deben coincidir en los dos lados

Once you have tightened the chain of your motorcycle before adjusting the nuts that prevent the tensioners from untightening, first tighten the axle of the rear wheel, after tightening the axle of the rear wheel now we tighten the nuts that prevent the chain tensioner from untightening.

Ya cuando ellas tensado la cadena de tu motocicleta antes de ajustar las tuercas que impiden que los tensores se desajuste ,luego de apretar el eje de la rueda trasera ahora sí apretamos las tuercas que hacen que no se desajuste el tensor de cadena

Then we check the tension of the chain, it should not be too tight but not too loose, because in one way or another it can reduce the life of your motorcycle's drive kit, such as the chain, chainring and sprocket.

Luego comprobamos la tensión de la cadena ,está no tiene que estar ni muy tensa pero tampoco demasiado suelta ,ya que de una o otra forma se puede reducir la vida útil del kit de arrastre de tu motocicleta,como lo son la cadena ,plato y piñón

And that's it! Your motorcycle is now ready to ride.

Y listo! Estaría lista tu motocicleta para salir a rodar
