Here's my entry for the BeerSaturday 372 with a red ale called Lovely brewed by Vagabond in Quebec that was perfect for the occasion. Indeed, last weekend I was camping in the Plaisance Park (you can check out Wednesday Walk Challenge: Zizanie-des-Marais, Plaisance) and it was raining. It was the remnants of storm Debby, which had hit the USA a few days earlier. And after pitching the tent, the can graphics were the perfect match for the weather 😀.
Voici ma participation au BeerSaturday 372 avec une bière rousse la Lovely brassée par Vagabond qui fut parfaite pour l'occasion. En effet, le weekend dernier j'étais au camping dans le Parc de Plaisance (vous pouvez aller voir Wednesday Walk Challenge : Zizanie-des-Marais, Plaisance) et la pluie était au rendez-vous. C'était les restes de la tempête Debby qui sévissait quelques jours plus tôt aux Etats-Unis. Et après avoir monté la tente, le graphisme de la canette était en parfaite adéquation avec la météo 😀.

I found little information about the history of Vagabond. The brewery was founded by Olivier Bouvrette around 2016 with a rather unique concept: nomadic brewer. The beers are created during travels and encounters often in a van. I like their moto: Life won't wait.
J'ai trouvé peu d'information sur l'histoire de Vagabond. La brasserie a été fondée par Olivier Bouvrette vers 2016 avec un concept assez unique : brasseur nomade. Les bières sont créées lors des voyages et des rencontres souvent en van. J'aime bien leur moto : La vie n'attend pas.
🍺 Tasting / Dégustation :
Lovely is an English-inspired 4.1% alcohol red ale with golding, cascade and columbus hops. In the glass, we see a beautiful, dark, cloudy amber color topped by a thick, white head. On the palate, this is a light beer with a malty, slightly caramelized taste. Perfect for recovering from setting up a tent in the rain.
La Lovely est une bière rousse d'inspiration anglaise de 4.1% d'alcool avec des houblons golding, cascade et columbus. Dans le verre, nous avons une belle robe ambrée assez foncée et trouble surmonté par un épais col bien blanc. En bouche, il s'agit d'une bière légère avec un bon gout malté et légèrement caramélisé. Parfait pour se remettre des efforts pour installer une toile de tente sous une pluie.
Design
At Vagabond, the desgin is the work of Sigmund Pifko, a Montreal-born and based illustrator active for over 30 years. The happy little cloud with its umbrella is a good representation of English beer, a little joy even if it's raining 😀.
Chez Vagabond, le desgin est l'oeuvre de Sigmund Pifko, un illustrateur né et basé à Montréal actif depuis plus de 30 ans. Le petit nuage joyeux avec son parapluie représente bien la bière anglaise, un peu de joie même s'il pleut 😀.
