First

7716writer.jpg

Writing fast, my hands trembled as I listened to the wind,

the echoes were lost, as my palms searched for the win,

"Go Go Go" the words raced throughout my brain,

as my pencil trembled, I dropped and raced for the fame,

delving into the deepest blue, my poetry could finally see the light.

"Fight, Fight, Fight" Is what I heard as the road was plain in sight,

"8 Lines?" I scoffed as the last ink escaped my right,

that's when I turned smitten, because I had just entered, my first competition.
