The Deplorable Nature Of The Mythological Fairy Tale Known As Hell When I was a teenager in high school, I had a conversation with a group of my friends in my American Studies II class. Somehow we got on the topic of suicide. A close friend of mine back then named Wayne, who was a Mormon, claimed that all suicide victims went to Hell. I responded to him that I didn't see where the justice would have been in something like that, because many people committed suicide because of compelling circumstances and these people probably didn't want to die. Wayne came back at me and explained to me that suicide was equally as much a form of murder as killing another person in cold blood according to the Bible. He added that once someone took their own life, they no longer had the opportunity to repent. In other words, Wayne treated his belief that all suicide victims went to Hell as one cold, mathematical equation. Some religions argue that demons are not the fallen angels. If that is so, then why did God create demons in the first place? I'd be interested in knowing the answer to that question. Then again, I'm an agnostic. Therefore, no answer would likely make sense to me anyway. I simply don't believe in the existence of demons, devils, gremlins, and goblins. I know. Gremlins and goblins don't count as demonic entities, but you catch my drift. Shortly after I had graduated from high school, I brought up the topic of suicide in front of another close friend in the presence of Wayne. This friend of mine was an atheist. He became furious with me for even bringing up the topic, and he insisted that suicide victims were selfish. I responded to him that selfish people didn't kill themselves but rather murdered other people instead. I'm no longer friends with this person. I guess suicide is a sensitive topic no matter what religion someone is from or whether they even believe in the existence of God at all. Anyhow, herein I'm going to give my input on what I believe happens to someone after they commit suicide. That is, what happens to their astral body, for a lack of a better description from an agnostic like me. A short while back I was watching an interview with a medium on YouTube. The interviewer named Alexis Brooks did describe what she worded to be a dogma about suicide victims going to Hell, and she asked the medium about it. I thought that "dogma" was the best word to describe the belief that all suicide victims went to Hell. Below is the video of that same interview. He, therefore, scheduled a state-assisted suicide to occur only a few days before his eviction was to take place. A journalist expressed his concern about it to the Canadian man. The Canadian man responded that homelessness was not an option for him in light of his painful health condition and the fact that he did not want to contend with the bitter cold of a Canadian winter. Jesus freaks and other types of religious zealots will rant and rave that this Canadian man had only one destination after death and that destination was Hell. I'd like to yell in their faces that at least it's warm in Hell, because I really don't believe that it exists. Of course, I'm agnostic, so that is how I will see these issues. I've tried my best not to use profanity in any of my articles, but this is one time that I must make an exception. Therefore, if any of you out there find foul language to have a triggering effect on you, feel free to stop reading my article. If a Catholic church official wishes to get on television and express his disapproval of state-assisted suicide, that is one thing. However, if suicide victims really went to Hell after they died, which I don't believe, then God would have to be an extremely cruel bastard to allow an injustice of this nature ever to occur. Never mind any arguments about free will and how your life is not yours to take. It's like what Bill Maher once said. Suicide is a way of telling God, "You can't fire me! I quit!" For God to send someone who is already suffering in pain and agony here on Earth to Hell to burn and be tortured for all eternity, it makes one question how different is God from Satan. That is, if God truly exists. Probably no different from him at all. ## 2. The Pros And Cons Of A Suicide Victim's Destiny In The Afterlife Have you ever heard of Robert Lyte? He's that Australian Bible thumper with the annoying voice. He is dogmatic about believing that every suicide victim can have no other destiny but **[Hell](https://fstdt.com/B8NQ.C7BSQK39)**. In fact, he has been rambling about Hell his entire life ever since he became a born-again Christian, so to speak. Hmmm. He must be a close relative of Ken Ham. You make God and Jesus Christ seem so callous and hotheaded. I guess it makes no difference to me, because I'm not religious. After Joshua Duggar was exposed for his sex crimes against children, mainly his sisters, he announced to the world that he was good with God. A heck of a lot of good that did him. He's now serving a lengthy Federal prison sentence for child pornography. Of course, that's another article for another time. A British man named Bob Sanders is also a devout Christian. This same man has performed astral projection and has also warned his viewers about the dangers he has undergone in doing so. Mr. Sanders is the one Christian who dares to be more decent than all the rest. Now, I don't mind if one of these Christians claim that all serial killers go to Hell. I wouldn't give any such people a pity party if it turned out to be true. However, there are many young people committing suicide before they're even old enough to go out on their first date. If there really is a God, one would think that at least he would make the exception for them. The problem is that many of these religious extremists will insist that no suicide victims can make it into Heaven or any place other than Hell. In their school of thought, little kids that take their own lives don't even receive get-out-of-Hell-free cards from the Holy Divinity. You have to wonder if these Bible fanatics are in the misopedist closet. Final Thoughts It's 2026. Therefore, I have to be one to ask the million-dollar question. Why is it that any of us are still discussing whether or not all suicide victims go to Hell after death? In this day and age, why does anyone still even believe that there is a Hell? I realize that this is not the first time I've ever posted an article about this topic, and it probably won't be the last time either. In a previous article of mine, I pointed out how audacious it is that a religious extremist named Bryce Crawford goes around, telling psychics and mediums that they get their powers from demons despite that there is indication that he may have psychic abilities himself. Moreover, a Dr. Julie Beischel has an ally in the religious sector who is helping her prove that all the derogatory stuff about psychics in the Bible is a mistranslation from its original text. Well, lo and behold, it turns out that I'm not the only one that feels the way I do about Mr. Crawford. A YouTuber that goes by the user name of Genetically Modified Skeptic posted a video in which he sharply criticized Mr. Crawford for shoving his belief system down other people's throats in a cynical way and even an abusive way. Somebody needs to call both of these idiots out for their dangerous dogma. Meanwhile, whenever a Bible thumper goes flapping his or her jaw, we all need to be on our guard. I'm perfectly on board with people who find solace through religion. However, I have no use for people who force religion on everyone insofar as they attempt to influence domestic policy and cultural norms, and I refuse to subscribe to the lie that all suicide victims go to Hell. It doesn't mean that we cannot support suicide prevention. However, nobody needs to be telling some little kid that their uncle who killed himself is burning in the lake of fire. That is sheer cruelty. Moreover, there is not even one entry in the Bible that supports such a lie. Religious extremists who encourage others to share their dogma about Hell and about suicide victims in Hell are as deluded as the Flat-Earthers. The difference between the two is that you can easily laugh off a Flat-Earther's rhetoric about how the Earth is supposedly flat. You can tell yourself, "Ahhh. If it makes him happy, let him believe whatever he wants to believe. He's not hurting anyone." On the other hand, whenever a religious extremist tells someone that their loved one who committed suicide has to be burning in Hell, there is no way that you can excuse such deplorable and reprehensible behavior from anyone who proclaims themselves to be a loyal servant to God. This madness has to end. It should have ended years ago. Call me biased in that I'm an agnostic, if you must. However, even some of you Christians out there have to find something that doesn't sit very well with you about these religious extremists who continue to promote archaic fabrications, some of which may not even be mentioned in the Bible. Everyone needs to bring themselves up to date into the twenty-first century regardless of whether or not they are religious.
