When I was a kid I was a huge Spider-man fan, mostly because he was the one superhero that every average kid could relate to. I loved the new Spider-man: Homecoming movie, because even though it was a different take on the character, it went right to the heart of what made Spidey so awesome. He was just a normal guy trying to find his way through the world, but his crazy powers changed his whole perspective on life.
This comic book cover I made is an homage to the classic Spider-man #1 from August 1990, drawn by the legendary artist Todd McFarlane. It features the homemade costume that Peter was using in the movie before he got the suit from Tony Stark.
