Todays' page has a little bit of everything: a girl posing with her finger resting against her jaw, a pair of eyes, and a cat stretching.
I didn't want to stick to one subject this time. I moved from a portrait to a study of eyes, then finished with a cat doing what I do when I've just woken up from the longest nap of my life.
The portrait gave me a chance to focus on the face and the little details that make a pose feel natural. The eyes were a smaller study on their own, while the cat was a completely different exercise.
My favourite here is the cat, I particularly enjoyed the stretching pose because there's something interesting about the way a cat's body curves and extends when it stretches. Also, I've been doing lots of cat studies lately so I decided to add a cat to this spread.
I like pages like this because they don't feel serious at all. I can practise different things without having to commit to one big drawing or make all the subjects fit a particular theme.
