Yes, steemians you read it right. My eldest daughter Trishia is my fourth child. I have experienced three miscarriage before her. For me Trishia is my miracle baby. For you to understand my situation. This is my story...
Year 2007 when my husband and i decided to living in together. Yes, live-in first because they said that we can't get married in same year his brother got married. They said it's bad luck.( Filipino superstitious beliefs) We should get married the next year so he ask my parents permission about it. And because my parents trust him. They give their blessings to our decisions.
August 2008 we got married and just months pass i got my first pregnancy. (I can't remember the month.) To make sure I'm pregnant i let him bought a pregnancy test. It is positive. I went to the ob-gyne to have prenatal check up. I'm on 4 weeks pregnant on that time so my ob said i should get back when I'm in 8 weeks because there's still no heartbeat on that time. But she confirmed that it's positive. And advice us to have a transviginal ultrasound before i get back to her. Weeks pass, time to get back to my ob. That was my first heartbreak. We were so excited to hear any heartbeat. But minutes pass of checking. The doctor hears nothing. She look at the ultrasound result again and look at us. She explained to us what happened but it seems like i didn't hear anything. All i hear was the baby was gone and i have to undergo a surgery. I don't know what to feel on that time. I can't understand what happened. Why did the baby's gone. And i am afraid of what they would do to me at the hospital. When we're at the hospital they brought me to the delivery room to wait for my schedule. At the delivery room i don't what to do.All i see is myself crying and crying. And asking why it happened to me. I feel so down and afraid.
After that surgery we go home. And have my full recovery at home. But the questions on my mind still remains. What is wrong with me? Is my husband's ok? Can i get pregnant again someday? Because i know some women when they got miscarriage they never get pregnant again. Until 2008 pass by..That last question is still in my head.
2009 i got pregnant again. This time it last for 3 months. He was a now a fetus already. He because i feel that he was a boy. The story repeated. This is more painful than the first one because I'm on labor. I cry so much and call my mother to please do something to save my baby. My mother is crying and said that i should pray. We're at home that time. And when we got to the hospital the baby is already gone. Here i am again in the surgery room. Trying to compose myself. Going home with questions and trying to moved on again.
2010 i got pregnant again but like the first one. It's just two months and it's gone like that. I loose hope. I said to myself that i will let my husband find another wife. I already accept the fact that I can't give him a child. I always told him it is okay for me he wants to be free from me. But he never give up on me. He said that if God wanted us to have a child he would be happy. But if not he would never leave me. And accept it with all his heart. I know that it was painful for him. Cause I see that he really wants to have a child. Year pass living our lives like a couple. Going anywhere we want. Doing whatever we want to do.
Untill, one day he ask me to try again one last time. But this time we did it with the help ob specialist. We did it step by step. Start with checking if i can be pregnant again. My fertility problem. And lastly my blood. And that time we knew that it's my blood causing all those miscarriage. I have this condition...
Antiphospholipid antibody syndrome (APAS) is a group of clinical manifestations associated with the presence of high levels of antiphospholipid antibodies (APA) in the blood of the affected individual. It is associated with recurrent thromboses (formation of blood clots) in the venous or arterial circulation.
January 2011 i got pregnant again. This time we were supervised by our doctors. I have two doctors. My OB for my babies condition and my Hematology for monitoring my blood. I have a maintenance. Heparin injection every 12 hours. No household chores in short bed rest. And have a every two weeks prenatal check up. We follow all that and here she comes. A 6 years old active girl. My miracle baby.
So,to those women who get pregnant easily. But throw their baby like a garbage. Think twice, not all are like you. You're so blessed to have a child without suffering anything. It's a God's gift. Please have a heart..
Thank you for reading my story. Hope it touches your heart. God bless!!
