Y bueno, ser mamá, y ama de casa te hace requerir de no uno, sino de muchísimos electrodomésticos que al final se convierten en tu electrodoméstico estrella.

Les cuento, cuando mi pareja y yo nos mudamos a un lugar solo nuestro, nuestro primer regalo fue una cocinita a gas de 2 hornillas, pero sin horno. Realmente fui la mujer más feliz en ese entonces, era mi primer electrodoméstico.

Sin embargo, debido a la problemática del gas en Venezuela, que su venta es por sectores y cada cierto tiempo, hubo lapsos de tiempo que se dejó de usar y pasamos a utilizar una rejilla eléctrica, mientras se solucionaba lo del gas.

Cocinar con ella, por una parte, pues por lo menos permitía tener lista la comida, pero por otro era perder muchísimo tiempo que en realidad no era factible porque yo cocinaba para que mi hijo fuese almorzado a clases y yo a mi trabajo, y pues dejarles la comida lista a mi pareja y mi otra niña.

Cada vez que se solucionaba el tema del gas, volvíamos a usar esa de 2 hornillas que les mencioné, con la novedad de que, quizás por el tiempo sin usar en cada vez que se iba el gas, una de ellas se medio tapó y solo hacia que el gas se consumiera mucho más rápido. Lo que significó continuar con una sola hornilla, tal y como hacía con la eléctrica.

Fue por esto que decidimos comprar una nueva, pero que esta vez tuviera más hornillas, tuviera horno y fuera por lo tanto, una cocina de las grandes. Esto ha facilitado nuestras vidas en gran magnitud.

Let me tell you, when my partner and I moved into our own place, our first gift was a 2-burner gas stove, but without an oven. I was really the happiest woman at that time, it was my first appliance.

However, due to the gas problem in Venezuela, which is sold by sectors and every so often, there were periods of time that we stopped using it and we switched to an electric grill, while the gas problem was solved.

Cooking with it, on the one hand, at least allowed us to have the food ready, but on the other hand it was a waste of a lot of time that was not really feasible because I was cooking for my son to go to school for lunch and for me to go to work, and then leave the food ready for my partner and my other child.
Every time the gas issue was solved, we went back to using that 2 burner stove I mentioned, with the novelty that, perhaps because of the time without using it every time the gas went out, one of them was half plugged and only made the gas to be consumed much faster. This meant that I had to continue with only one burner, just as I did with the electric one.

It was for this reason that we decided to buy a new one, but this time with more burners, an oven and, therefore, a large stove. This has made our lives much easier.

My husband makes pasticho for sale, before we used to make them at my mother-in-law's house, and we used to waste a lot of time carrying all the things from there to here, now we can make them here in the comfort of our house.

Now I can make desserts for my children whenever they want, as long as we have the necessary ingredients in the pantry.

Finally, the most favored I think is me, because thanks to my kitchen, I can prepare all the breakfast, lunch or dinner on different burners, something that really saves me time considerably. I've been able to wash while I cook, make the beds while something is cooking. And yet, I still have time left over to take care of my children at lunch. I get my child ready for school. I get my child ready for school. And I get ready for work. I leave everything in order. This has certainly enabled the stardom of my new kitchen.
