Today I want to share with you a singular artistic experience that I was able to enjoy yesterday...

My visit to the Braulio Salazar University Gallery. It is to remember and repeat, since it is a space that from the moment you walk through its doors envelops you in an aura of creativity.

Although since its inception (1958), this gallery was born in the bosom of the University of Carabobo as part of the Department of Plastic Expression, it has been the cradle for the exhibition of the talent of countless local artists, both established and emerging...

And just yesterday, I was fortunate to enjoy an exhibition that moved me deeply:

Works created by nothing more and nothing less than talented local high school students. I confess that each piece invited me to enter into their creative universe, to decipher those messages and emotions that all these small but powerful artists have captured in them.

I loved the initiative of accompanying each work with an explanatory legend. These brief descriptions allowed me to better understand the technique used, the inspiration behind the piece and the artist's vision. A detail that enriches the visitor's experience and brings us even closer to the creative process.

One element that especially captivated me was the incorporation of a television that reproduced a sequence of photos of the creators during the creative process of their works (here I felt as if I was accompanying them at that moment when their ideas begin to come to life, enjoying the birth of each piece).

It is definitely an ideal space to reflect on local contemporary art. But I don't want to say goodbye to you, without first leaving you several facts that I was able to find out and that I want to share with you because I consider them super curious and interesting to know:

The works exhibited there are always from different generations and trends.

In its spaces takes place nothing more and nothing less than the "Salón Nacional de las Artes del Fuego", an event of great prestige in the Venezuelan artistic field.

It is located inside the Dr. Fabián de Jesús Díaz University Park, which makes it even more unique, because to get there you have to explore its beautiful green areas (which you will surely enjoy for a while before entering the gallery).

Likewise, educational programs/workshops are also developed to bring art closer to the community, especially for children and young people (also in the video you can see from afar an event of this nature)...

So, if you have not visited it, I invite you to do so (another point in favor is that it has a free admission to the public, you just have to consider that at noon they close to open again at two in the afternoon until five o'clock).

Here every visit is definitely a new opportunity to discover, learn and enjoy art ¡in all its forms!... I assure you it will be an experience that will make you want to come back to discover all it has to offer.

Hoy quiero compartirte una experiencia artística de ubicación bastante singular que pude disfrutar el día de ayer…

Mi visita a la Galería Universitaria Braulio Salazar. Es para recordar y repetir, ya que es un espacio que desde el momento en que el momento que cruzas sus puertas te envuelve en un aura de creatividad.

Aunque desde sus inicios (1958), esta galería haya nacido en el seno de la Universidad de Carabobo como parte del Departamento de Expresión Plástica, la misma ha sido cuna para la exposición del talento de innumerables artistas locales, tanto consagrados como emergentes...

Y precisamente ayer, tuve la fortuna de disfrutar una exposición que me conmovió profundamente:

Obras creadas por nada más y nada menos que estudiantes de secundaria, locales y de gran talento. Te confieso que cada pieza, me invitaba a adentrarme en su universo creativo, a descifrar esos mensajes y emociones que todos esos pequeños, pero poderosos artistas han plasmado en ellas.

Me encantó la iniciativa de acompañar cada obra con una leyenda explicativa. Estas breves descripciones me permitieron comprender mejor la técnica utilizada, la inspiración detrás de la pieza y la visión del artista. Un detalle que enriquece la experiencia del visitante y nos acerca aún más al proceso creativo.

Un elemento que me cautivó especialmente fue la incorporación de un televisor que reproducía una secuencia de fotos de los creadores durante el proceso creativo sus obras (aquí me sentí como si estuviera acompañándolos en ese momento es que sus ideas comienzan a tomar vida, disfrutando del nacimiento de cada pieza).

Definitivamente, es un espacio ideal para reflexionar sobre el arte contemporáneo local. Pero no me quiero despedir de ti, sin antes dejarte varios datos que pude averiguar y que quiero compartir contigo porque los considero super curiosos e interesantes de conocer:

Las obras que se exhiben en ella siempre son de diversas generaciones y tendencias.

En sus espacios se realiza nada más y nada menos que el “Salón Nacional de las Artes del Fuego”, un evento de gran prestigio en el ámbito artístico venezolano.

Se encuentra ubicada dentro del Parque Universitario Dr. Fabián de Jesús Díaz, lo que la hace aún más única, porque para llegar a ella debes de explorar sus hermosas áreas verdes (que seguro disfrutarás un buen rato antes de adentrarte en la galería).

Igualmente, también se desarrollan programas/ talleres educativos para acercar el arte a la comunidad, en especial para los niños y jóvenes (igualmente en el video puedes apreciar desde lejos un evento de esta naturaleza)…

Por lo que, si no la has visitado, te invito a hacerlo (otro punto a favor es que posee una entrada gratuita a todo público, solo debes de considerar que al medio día cierran para abrir nuevamente a la dos de la tarde hasta las cinco).

Aquí definitivamente cada visita es una nueva oportunidad para descubrir, aprender y disfrutar del arte en todas sus formas. U lugar en donde siente que verdaderamente formas parte de algo más grande, un movimiento en pro de preservar y celebrar nuestra cultura artística local.

Así que, la próxima vez que busques un lugar para inspirarte, visítala, te aseguró que será una experiencia nueva y enriquecedora que te hará querer regresar una y otra vez para descubrir lo que tiene para ofrecer.
