Thanks, @Papa-Pepper!

The holidays are rushing by quicker than I can really fathom right now, but this week I finally get the privilege of posting about the generosity of my homesteading friend @papa-pepper. 🙂

A few months ago, after @papa-pepper made his post about the malabar spinach, he offered to send along some of the seeds for free when I showed interest in the plant. I wasn’t too worried as the months went by, being a farmer-rancher’s wife, I am well familiar with how busy the harvest season can get (and I can only imagine what it’s like down south, where the growing season is longer than ours up here in the PNW).

And then! Out of the blue, a little manila envelope arrived! And it didn’t have just malabar spinach seeds in it, it also had Chinese red noodle beans:

There was also a note, and one other envelope....

I was pretty humbled to see the coin. I just consider myself a ‘small fry’ blogger here on Steemit, and to have this gift of recognition was pretty awesome. 🙂
