We are surrounded by so many beautiful and aesthetic things both natural and man-made. Today, I will like to share with you how a man-made architectural project and video gaming with my friend help me reflect on the human mind, life, and improvements.
As I walked by the road to John Taiye in Accra-Ghana, the architectural design and strength of it pillars got me contemplating.
Even though this is not my first time passing by this pillars, It really hit me. I thought about the gigantic pillars and concrete works making up this amazing interchange. My observation also filled with hope and a sense of assurance that big task can be accomplished by a small man like me only if in will work o my dreams. It was such a serene moment for me. many things, I thought about the power of the human mind and possibilities. As tiny as the mind is, it could imaging so great a work and when the proper education, planning, training and work is put into it, then such a masterpiece can be accomplished.
And in other to accomplish this work, one must be willing to trust in the process but first it must be imagined. The mind should not be spared from thinking about complex topics no matter how much it hurts the brain and gradually as we work our way around the topic, finding possible solution to this and that, the time will come when we are able to realize our potential or reach the conclusion of our quest.
Interestingly, you do not always have to see the end from the beginning in other to get this far but it is just a matter of working with what you have and then building on it gradually as time goes by. Before the interchange, there was the period of bridges where a small bridge was built to join get access to the other one until today. I have also read stories and articles of bridges linking two countries and some running under water like that of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge–Tunnel
Isn't it amazing that an initial idea 💡 can be worked on and developed to solving complex problems in the future.
Again, I went to a place I usually meet with friends to study and sometimes to have fun. Unfortunately, the wifi and the cable net were botj not working so I decided to play video game with one of my colleagues which turned out to be a shock of a lifetime.
In total, we played about 16 games. Three draws, two wins for me and he was 11 games straight. But here is a guy I scored in the game the about two weeks ago. We played 9 game, all wins for me. The average goals was minimum goals in each game was 3 and he could rarely score a goal in each game but this time I was losing to him with a minimum goal of 2 to 3. Tables have turned I believe and he was making noise abroad, jubilating his wins.
I heard he had spent days practicing and learning the tricks. He could tell me my next move when the ball was in my possession but his plan was totally unpredictable this time to me. He has mastered his game and was prepared to beat me in all the games.
Lesson Learnt: Never tackle every problem with the same approach. Things keep changing and advancing so do people so you can not always come with the sameself mentality. I also learned that I have to keep learning and adding to my knowledge.
These are few of this things I recognised and learned today. Hope you learn something too.
Until next time...
