Today I am going to share with you a wonderful cooking and shopping experience of my last Friday. It is a common custom in our Bengali families to organize a little good and bad food on holidays. Although the winter season was not completely over, there were quite good ducks available in the market. After a lot of searching, I came across a quite big and healthy duck. I thought the meat would be quite soft and tasty. When the duck was cleaned and its stomach was cut open, it was found that there were several small and large eggs inside it. One egg was almost fully developed and had a hard shell, and the rest were yolks or immature egg clusters. Usually, after buying a duck from the market, it is quite a blessing to get such whole and so many eggs. That day, my mother cooked the meat very well with pure mustard oil, chopped onion, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala and cumin-coriander powder. And after putting those eggs inside the duck's stomach in the meat broth, its taste seemed to increase many times over.
