Always be nice to the older people
It won't be long before we're old and feeble
And our own body will no longer mend
But Don't worry
time will tell
the story of your journey.
Let them remind us we are all on the same self
journey
That the circle of life is of all
the creation of mankind
And time passes only to draw
The young nearer to the old.
For the most valuable thing, we can receive
more than anything else in life
Is the wisdom of the elderly and their stories
Though Our hair has turned white
And skin so thin it tears
Our voice becomes louder
For it is hard for them to hear
We forget about the small things
And might not remember some names at all
But we never forget how to sing the old hymns after the church bells ring
When we are angry or sad
It's not because we chose to be
But because we are confused about the life we once had
Knowing we will never get that back
Is a pain that only sets in with time.
So we roll the tape one last time
For a life well spent,
Filled with good memories
and stories
that rivals no other.
A picture says a thousand word
And this picture in particular is no different.
But what stuck with me
Was how it illustrated each stage of human life as an episode.
And the fact that when you sit to observe each story
before the sunsets we, in turn, become old
creating a new episode to be watched by the younger generations.
In conclusion, time flies when we are living.
