Summary: Week 5 of the HivePulse SEO Contest is settled. Eight valid entries, all eight above the score floor, three creators paid — and the prize pool stayed at 300 HIVE because the field finished two entries short of 400.

The rule was published before the round started: under 10 valid entries pays 300 HIVE, 10–19 pays 400, 20 or more pays 500 with a 250 top prize.
Eight people entered. So the pool is 300, and we are paying 300.
We are telling you this plainly because the alternative — quietly paying 400 anyway — would make the ladder meaningless. It is a rule, not a hope. Two more writers next round and every prize on the board goes up.

Nobody won it last round. Three people quote-retweeted us and we are grateful for the reach, but neither answered the question we asked. That is on us: we asked a crypto-X audience to publicly criticise their own writing, which is the opposite of what that platform trains people to do.
So we are changing both halves of it.

Say whatever is true. Here are four angles that actually travel
You do not need to be clever. You need to be specific. Any of these works:
1. Your score, with the screenshot. The single most shareable thing you have.
"First draft: 62. I fixed three things it flagged. 94. The whole edit took four minutes." + screenshot
2. The thing that surprised you.
"I've written on Hive for two years and had no idea an image with no description was costing me points. Every post I've ever published, apparently."
3. One sentence, before and after.
"Before: 'In today's world, many people wonder about this topic.' After: 'Heat neutralises a mosquito-bite itch in about 30 seconds.' Same paragraph, 20 points apart."
4. What you'd tell a Hive writer who has never heard of it.
"It reads your draft while you write and tells you what Google and ChatGPT will each ignore. Free. That's it, that's the tool."
Pick one. Add your screenshot if you have one — posts with an image travel further, which matters now that engagement is the scoreboard.

- No engagement farming. Follow-for-follow, like-for-like, reply-chain rings and bought engagement are disqualified. We will look before paying.

One honest caveat about this format. Engagement rewards reach, and reach follows follower count — so a large account starts ahead of a small one no matter how good the post is. We are trying it because our problem right now is distribution, not taste. If it turns into "the biggest account always wins", we will change it again and say so.
Optional if you would rather not disadvantage small accounts: split the prize — 30 HIVE for most engagement, 20 HIVE for the answer we personally found most useful. Keeps the objective headline metric while leaving a lane where a 40-follower account can still win.

Where the points actually are
Five rounds in, 37 posts scored on both axes. The pattern is stable: SEO scores cluster high because Hive creators already write decent titles and headings. GEO — whether an AI answer engine can lift a passage and cite it — is where the gap sits.
- Open with the answer. First 8–60 words, before any preamble. Every 100-scoring post this round did this.
- Write self-contained sentences. "This shows…" means nothing quoted alone. Name the subject.
- Describe your images.
