THE BODYGUARDIn the waters off of the Philippines, a small fish takes shelter in the tentacles of a jellyfish. "However, the small fish you see in this image isn't immune to the stings either," says Your Shot photographer Henley Spiers. "And so whilst using the jelly for protection, it must be constantly alert and make sure it swims in just the right position!"

THROUGH THE SNOWA herd of 350 reindeer travels to new pastures in Sweden. They're led north by a team of Sami reindeer herders who use rivers and lakes to navigate the route.

GRADUATION CELEBRATION Graduates of the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado, celebrate the end of their commencement ceremony—and the end of four years of hard work and perseverance. As Thunderbird jets fly over the stadium, the cadets toss their caps into the air. Traditionally, cadets put money on the inside of their caps. Once the toss happens, kids under 12 are allowed to run onto the field, find a cap, keep the money, and return the cap to the cadet.

OPEN WIDE Cleaner shrimp and moray eels share a mutually beneficial relationship. The shrimp picks algae and insects off the skin of the eel, enjoying a free meal while keeping the moray eel healthy.

THE CROSSING Eman Al Majali is a member of the first Jordanian women team that will attempt Everest Summit. With the expedition a year away, the team must prepare by practicing high altitude mountaineering in other places. Here, she crosses a crevasse around the Hinku Valley in the Nepalese Himalayas.

STREET IN THE SKY The Cần Thơ Bridge rises above the fog in Vietnam. The bridge, which is more than a mile and a half long, has four lanes for traffic and two for bikes.

RISE AND SHINEA  hiker greets the morning in Yosemite Valley, California. Your Shot photographer Eric Harris says, "The adrenaline from standing on the edge of a 1,000-foot cliff helps me wake up."

LIONS IN LINES Your Shot photographer Torie Hilley didn't think she'd be able to see anything interesting through the tall grass while on a safari in Zambia. "Then this pride of lions came walking toward us," she says, "taking advantage of the road to travel on. They, too, seemed they were tired of the tall grass swatting at their faces!"

WAY OF THE WORM Sometimes art requires sacrifice. Your Shot photographer Katherine Henderson tells the story behind this beautiful and simple picture: "I found this gorgeous tomato horn worm eating away at my tomato plants and allowed him to stay so I could photograph him. The problem is this plant was in full sun. So, I had to wait for the perfect conditions to get the best shot. A day or two later the sun was behind some clouds, there was no wind blowing him every which way, and I took my shot. I lost all the tomatoes and leaves on my plant, but this shot was worth it."

CATCH OF THE DAY The annual salmon migration is practically an all-you-can-eat buffet for bears in Alaska. The journey upstream sometimes covers hundreds of miles, and the fish must leap out of the water to get over waterfalls. When the bear is at the right place at the right time, dinner is served.
