There's a lot of controversy surrounding Nigerian Afrobeats musician Burnaboy and although I absolutely love how music, I'll leave the controversies for celebrities and enjoy. The title on this post which is Monsta you made actually clicked because I'd just listened to the Buna boy album when I read the weekend engagement topics yesterday morning.
Coincidentally one of the only Energy drinks I take is Monster Energy drink. I saw a meme one time where someone claimed the only way you'll get a Nigerian man to willingly try something new is if you convince him it has a sexual advantage.
Prior to my first taste of Monster I'd always thought it ridiculous that any drink could claim to give me some kind of boost energy wise, so I was quite reluctant to check any out.
But sometime in 2021 when I was at a camp, a friend I met named Ben always had Monster in what was supposed to be his water bottle.
I was curious what he was always drinking and he explained that it was what he always drinks immediately after sx.
Of course sx in camp was actually illegal, but that's another story for another day. The important thing is that I only tasted Monster only after someone made a claim about s*x馃槀.
So that's how I began my journey with Monster. I see a lot of people who love maybe a Pepsi or Coke when they go out but whenever I'm out with the boys, It's always Monster.
At this point I'm in a place where I think the claims as an energy drink are true, because I like the feel I get whenever I take Monster. There's this buzz I get whenever I taste it.
The s*x thing is probably one of those exaggerations, but I know how much I've spent on Monster from 2021 till now and all I can say is Ben made a M脫NSTER out of me.
