When did it start, this hatred?
Where did it go, how did it end,
Our long lasting brotherhood?
Couldn't we at least pretend
We still have that ancient bond?
How could we, this easily,
Forget the bright centuries
When we shared our destiny,
When we led humanity
In science and prosperity,
When we were well aware
That the key is unity.
