Those days in the village, when it starts raining hard in the village, something beautiful happens.

We all run to one place.

Under one big shed. Under one market roof. Under one tree.

Nobody asks:

  • are you Igbo or Isoko?
  • are you Muslim or Christian?
  • are you rich or poor?
  • are you a male or female?
    The list continues...

Rain doesn't choose who to beat. So when it falls, we forget our differences and stand together.

That shed becomes small, but our hearts become big.

We laugh. We squeeze together. We share gist until the rain stops.

That is unity in diversity. Lie was that simple back in the village.

Life is like rain. Problems will come. And when they come, tribe and religion will not save us. Only togetherness will.

We are different, yes. But rain has taught us we need each other to stay dry.

Yes, that is unity in diversity.
Nature know how to bring us together.
