saving time, spending time,
watching time, wasting time...
Just the word time is tiring.
Making efforts, planning steps,
Measuring progress, keeping up
With this life is exhausting.
We can't rest, we can't have breaks,
We can't stop, not until
There's nothing more to build.
And when we finally figure out
The truth about what matters
We'd have no time, we'd have no strength,
We'd have no will to start again.
All we can do is teach our sons
What we learned the hard way
Hoping they would have a chance,
Hoping they'd still have a choice.
