Do you have any knowledge about good financial decisions? Many of you may not know so, I'm here to share one of my story which is different than what people can think most of the time. So, if you're still curious about it, then I will try to explain it slowly. The good financial decisions that I have taken is that I started learning to repair things instead of replacing them. Also, how did I do that? I will explain that too.

As you guys already know that I'm a family man, just like other many families. We don't have extra money for the expenses so before spending anything we have to think twice. A few years ago, my wife noticed that that a few things were taking extra money from us, at home. For example if it was a tap leakage then we would try get a new one or pay someone else to fix it.

I thought about it thoroughly and understood that she was right. We should stop spending on things when we can fix it by ourselves. Also, we should stop spending money for every little thing. I searched on YouTube how to fix it and found a few tutorials, some of them were a really good guide. By watching these videos I have learned how to repair small household items by my own. No one is perfect in their first time or get better. I had the same problem, because first I made mistakes but secondly I kept trying.

The progress was slow yet I became better day by day. Gladly, I was able to share some important lessons with my daughters which is an important lesson. I was able to teach them that we should never throw away something, it could be broken or needed some fixings. I think every parent should teach this to their children that we should try to fix it instead. I hope, they will remember that lesson when they grow up. I think it's a great lesson too that we should keep patience and we should give things a second chance.

The biggest lesson I learned is that improving skills is valuable as earning money. We should save money but we shouldn't compromise every time.

I am glad for learning to fix things it was the best financial decision I ever made. In the end, I was able to share some useful skills with my family. It has brought some peace of mind. I believe, these rewards are worth far more than the money we saved.
