Hello, friends of the #WEEKENDEXPERIENCES community. I'm taking this space to tell you my story about my only tattoo so far.
As a child I loved my grandfather very much, I have beautiful memories of him telling us stories about his youth. My favorite time was when there was a blackout. My sisters and I would sit close by and he would tell us scary stories to scare us, we still loved it.
My grandfather was blind, so he lived at my mother's house for periods of time. I was able to see facets in him that I didn't understand as a child, I only know that I loved him very much.
There is a saying that I have heard that seems real to me and it is: Grandparents are to their grandchildren what they were not to their children!
I enjoyed his company until the end even though I didn't understand why things happened that way.
I am aware that he was not an exemplary father to my aunts and mom, but I know that as a grandfather he was great.
He died when I was 9 years old, he got sick suddenly and I remember that for a little girl it hurt me a lot. I felt that someone very precious to me had been taken away. It is a pain that still comes to me and causes a lump in my throat. The day of her death was upsetting. I cried too much. I think in my childhood that was the biggest pain I felt.
I got his name tattooed when I was 19 years old. I always knew that would be my first tattoo. I have always been a lover of tattoos and piercings. I waited until I was of age to get my first tattoo.
I wish my daughter could have met my grandfather, I know she would surely love him as much as I do.
Well guys I hope you enjoyed my story. This is the first time I really tell the reason for my tattoo. They always think it's some boyfriend's name hahaha.
