Well, until just a couple of weeks I was pregnant. Today, twelve days later, I can tell you that I already have my precious baby girl in my arms.
Para llegar hasta el día de hoy, fueron muchas pruebas que superar, desde el miedo, hasta las decadencias del sistema hospitalario de mi ciudad. Después de estar casi año y medio en casa de mi suegra con mi esposo en Barquisimeto, hoy estamos nuevamente en casa de mi madre en Cumaná. Regresar aquí fue un poco turbulento, dado que viajé con 34 semanas de embarazo en autobús. ¿Por qué me vi en la necesidad de hacerlo? Pues con mi suegra no congeniamos muy bien, además que el sistema de salud en Barquisimeto era muy exigente. We went back to Cumana thinking that the situation could be better, and although there were less expenses, in the end we had to buy snacks for the doctors to perform my cesarean section. It took me a full day of waiting, because they had not received the candy and soda and therefore had not put me in the operating room.
Pesé a todas las adversidades, a las 7:12 pm nació mi pequeña Emma. La luz de mis ojos, y mi amor más bonito. Nació pesando 3.370 GR y 50 cm de largo. Durante toda esa noche tuve la ayuda de mi hermana, quien estuvo conmigo para cuidarnos, y mi esposo por fin pudo ver a su pequeña. Fue todo un reto en el cual salimos victoriosos.
Despite all the adversity, at 7:12 pm my little Emma was born. The light of my eyes, and my most beautiful love. She was born weighing 3,370 grams and 50 cm long. Throughout that night I had the help of my sister, who was with me to take care of us, and my husband finally got to see his little girl. It was a challenge in which we were victorious.
Hoy Emma tiene 12 días de haber nacido, y aunque nos ha dado noches sin dormir, no lo cambiaría por nada. Agradecida con toda la ayuda que he tenido de mi madre, mi hermana y mi esposo que ha cumplido su papel de padre sin ninguna queja.

This has been my second struggle, as I had a baby 3 years ago, but he failed to stay alive after a month of being born. Hayley is our little star in the sky watching over us from heaven.
