Hello Everyone,
I just have to share this with you all. Today I came across one of those moments where you realise not everyone is able to, will, or even wants to come along to this new technological future where headed for. In this case it mainly involved 'not being able to'.
I called my 76 year old father to tell him I had found this tiny rubber pen he could use to doodle and draw on his android phone (see, he tries to stay on top, it's just all going way to fast for someone who, by lack of a television, spend his childhood evenings listening to the radio, who saw colour tv as an unnecessary luxury and the birth of the first PC as the end of civilised interaction).
What happened when my father answered the phone made me giggle and reminded me of a cartoon from back in the early days of the internet boom, emailing was THE hype at the time (don't laugh, everything starts small ;-)). The cartoon was actually sent to me by my father at the time which made this situation today even more ironic.
In the cartoon a man sticks his head around the corner of a cubicle and says to the woman behind the desk: "I only came by to tell you I just sent you an email."
And now my father did something very similar himself.
Since the reason for the phone call involved a sketch app and a little rubber pen I decided to put both to work and finally start doodling again (favourite past time on bus rides in Asia a decade ago).
So, here's my laugh of the day, which of course you already saw in your feed. Hope it made you smile as well.
