Is cheating happening because of lack of commitment and not keeping promises and what are the reasons?

I will have to quote your words here "Commitment in a relationship is one of the things that can make a partner survive, as well as keeping promises." This is actually one of the best factors that enables you relationship last longer and this develops the mutual love between the couples.

But is cheating really caused by the lack of commitment and not keeping promises?

This is one of the causes of cheating because couple won't aren't committed to each other and lack the fulfilment of promises end up breaking the trust between them and this could make them cheat. How can there be a genuine relationship when there is no commitment and trust? The lack of trust between couples can cause so many dangers in a relationship and one of the danger is " cheating".

Another factor that can cause cheating is the lack of "sexual satisfaction." As we all know, sex is one of the important activities that must take place in a very strong relationship. The lack of sexual satisfaction can enable some partner cheat on their lovers. They just have the intention of satisfying their desire and this makes them cheat on their partner since their partner isn't giving them maximum satisfaction. Every couple should try as much as possible to satisfy their partner when it comes to making love with their partners because this keeps him or her addicted to you.

Another factor that can cause cheating is due to the lack of been contented with what you have. This mostly occurs in guys. As a guy who is addicted to flirting and fornicating with different ladies may find it very difficult to stay committed to his partner. He may sometimes get attracted to different ladies with different body structures and this makes him feels his wife is incomplete. The guy will surely find different ways of cheating on his partner because he is not satisfied with the quality possessed by his wife. This attitude also occurs in women also because some of them aren't contented with what they have and this leads to cheating.

Another funny factor that causes cheating is the act of revenge or punishment. This may sound funny or surprising but this is mostly done by men. They sometimes engage in such act with the intention of punishing their spouses just to make her pay for her wrong doings because this may restructure her character and make her more humble to her husband.

So just have you said commitment matters alot in relationships and the lack of commitment and keeping promises with my additiona point can cause partner cheating on each other.
