It is the first day of a consecutive special holiday for the Eid Mubarak or Hari Raya Haji celebration for the Muslims. Today has been quite a busy day as we are preparing for the firstborn's birthday tomorrow.
Nevertheless when my friends asked us for a walk or jog at the park, I still said yes. Wanted to go to a further park but my strength level today is a bit low so we opted for a nearby park instead at Taman Tasik Danau Kota meaning Danau Kota (name of this area) Lake Park.
This is a park with a running track of about 1.3km around a man made lake. It is nicely covered with trees providing shade for the runners.
My eldest went ahead with full stamina running. Along the track, we found some areas a bit bumpy though and needs some serious maintenance. My secondborn tried to chase after the brother and my friend.
The secondborn loves checking out the marks on the running path indicating how many metres. He gets excited to discover the next 100th metre mark.
Ever since the sign was up, I realized they have done up better walkways in between the tracks for some sight-seeing. I noticed people like to sit and look at the peaceful lake that has nearly no ripples. I guess it is a good way to relax and wind down after a tiring day of work.
It is a very friendly park for children and elderly, not a big one but sufficient enough. It is situated in a very strategic spot between many condominiums and a shopping mall nearby has an access gate opened to it.
The weather today was actually just nice after a very heavy rain. Not many people were there when we went but the crowd slowly built up. My eldest made a friend at the playground. He was trying to cross a wooden plank bridge which to him is extra wobbly because he is sensitive to balance. A stranger boy and girl saw him struggling and started encouraging him saying , When I was young, I also was like you. and You just need to put your next foot on the next plank. Wow, how sweet of them right? Later on, the eldest started chit chatting with the boy and played rock papers scissors with him.
In the meantime, the secondborn was playing white pebbles with my friend. They played for such a long time until we had to call them to go home.
