Christmas Eve fell on a Sunday this year so our church had a Christmas Eve service or Praise Celebration instead of a Christmas service this year.

I woke up at 5am! It was a cloudy and rainy Sunday so I thought it would be perfect for our Christmas sweaters to come to use. So we took some time earlier to dress up and the boys took photo with the Christmas tree at home before leaving for church.

I got my husband to match with the secondborn while I match my colour with my firstborn.

And we quickly took some photos with the church's Christmas tree before the Praise Celebration started as the teens and some church members put in a lot of effort to decorate the church with 2 beautiful trees.

Then we had worship to praise and worship our dearly God Who is so worthy to be praised especially on this day of Christmas to remember Jesus' willingness to come to be born as a baby to redeem mankind. It is indeed a Joy to the world!

We managed to give out some presents too to some church friends and children. Children were delighted because yeah many candies were received though it can be quite a headache to the parents to control their sugar intake.

After the sermon was preached, we were getting ready to leave the church premise when my friends requested for one photo together. It was taken in a rush because we wanted to head towards the place for lunch together. Nevertheless it was a lovely photo. Missing another church friend whose son is down with covid.

The mall was so well decorated with very beautiful Christmas trees. I have not been to many malls this year to view their decorations because I feel my own strength cannot cope. Even when friends do invite me to go along, I had to turn them down.

We had lunch together at Nando's with our meals pre ordered. I was a bit too exhausted by then to take photos od the food so I did not remember. It was actually very well thought after that we had roasted quarter chickens, roasted vegetables, Mediterranean rice, wedges, coleslaw and fries. It was a very good meal and time together with fellow church friends. The children were also having lots of fun sitting together while the younger ones ran around together.

Finally we took a very huge group photo together! This was almost the whole church, except for some traveling during this occasion.

After that we walked around and saw Santa on stage for people to take photo with. Because I did tell my children that Christmas is not about Santa but Jesus, my children were not too keen to go take photo.

So we took our own family wefie at the huge Christmas tree!

The day before Christmas eve, we visited my husband's eldest aunt to have such a delicious meal at her house. The children then enjoyed playing with the cousins and chit chatting.

A photo with their grandpa as well. Grandpa with his 4 grandsons!

Christmas eve was so merrily celebrated this year! At the end of the day, my back was feeling sore so I loved lying down on the bed with my sons to chill and relax, while the eldest requested for some chill Christmas songs to be played. Then they dozed off with it.

Will be blogging about Christmas day the next post! Hope you had a good time with your family and friends too, celebrating Christmas with joy and peace!
