Lavani is a folk dance of Maharashtra, India. The name of this dance has been derived from ‘Lavanya’, which means beauty. This form is a combination of dance and music, which is dealt with different and varied topics such as society, religion, politics, romance, etc.
Lavani is performed by women, typically wearing nine-yard sarees.
