Yes, I’ll wear the Poppy
For those that we have lost
For those who came back maimed
For those who bear the cost
Of the freedom that we have
For the tears that parents shed
For their child that they gave
So that we sleep safe in bed
Yes I pray each day
That there be no more war
And that we can understand
Just what we’re fighting for
May peace be brought to all
May be find a better way
But until then I’ll wear
The Poppy on Remembrance Day
