Okay, this is a stupid question. Both games has the same game mode, in which you and other 99 people are droped from the plane on the island and the only one can survive! However, that is everything. It is like comparing COD and Quake 3 arena, because both game have a death match mode, but I thought that it would be cool to compare these two game, because many people think that Fornite is straight rip-off of PUBG.
The first big difference that is quite obvious is the way how both games are made. Fornite is colorful and more arena oriented. On the other hand PUBG is realistics and the world feels real, sometimes it feels like I am in The Walking Dead. The villages are conected by roads, so if you find a car you can drive like a normal person and that is cool. Fortnite doesn’t have any vehicles and the world isn’t connected like it is in PUBG and it is waaaay smaller. This brings me to the second big diference and it is pace of match. You can walk for 30 minutes in PUBG and you can be alone all the time, but in Fortnite will meet people more, because of the size of the map and maybe because looting in Fortnite is more rewarding. There is a huge difference between equiped player in Fortine and not-equiped one. So people are more likely to run and loot. There is loot in PUBG too of course, but I feel like you don’t have to risk too much after finding few most important things.
Both games are shooters, which means how is it to pull the trigger? Well, in PUBG are guns complicated, you can find upgrades to make them better, or you can find a scope, so you dont have to aim by iron sight. However even if the gun is fully upgraded it is actually quite hard to hit the target and if you kill the target? Oh that feeling is just right. Guns have recoil and the guns aren’t hitscan like the most of guns in Fortine. So if you pick up a gun in Fortine, it is easy to hit the target (unless you have a sniper rifle). The firefight are much longer in Fortnite, because players have more HP and Armor is not uselles. However the most important thing, that PUBG doesn’t have is that you can build. Yes, you can build in Fortnite and it is easy and quick. So you if you are under a fire, you can build walls right next to you and take a cover. In my opinion the biggest skill cap is in building, because shooting doesn’t take much skill. I was really excited about this feature, but after few hours I found it boring, but that is only my personal opinion.
Both games are unique and both have many different things to offer. However behind Fortnite is triple A studio with many years of experience. They are even shutting down games, in the name of Fortnite, so the game will obtain updates more often and I would say that the game is more stable right now, but that doesn’t mean, that PUBG is unplayeble. Both games have a huge population and I think, that they are here to stay for a while.
