Seljalandsfoss is one of the most famous waterfalls in Iceland and no wonder why. The natural beauty of this one is on another level and you can also walk behind the huge waterfall itself. It is also easily accessible because it's right next to the main road.
It was my second time visiting this waterfall. I camped near this place and arrived there last night.
The first picture is taken that night. We had insane weather, hurricane-force winds and rainfall. We decided not to go out and see it close up, Instead, I took a long exposure shot from the car, it is visible how the wind blows the waterfall away.
The next morning the weather had calmed down and it was possible to go and see it close now while actually be able to stand on the feet.
Of course, when you go to the back of the waterfall, be prepared to get a bit wet because water is still flying all around.
No matter how many times I have seen it, I always want to go back there.

These pictures are taken in the night, the time was past midnight and the sun was still up.
The water of Seljalandsfoss comes from the Eyjafjallajökul glacier ice cap. This is the glacier that exploded in 2010 and halted the air traffic in Europe.
