I am not a man of god but I still like to see architecture, cultural buildings and see them close up. In Estonia, we don't have a shortage of churches and this goes for Hiiumaa island as well. During my time there I visited two different churches.
The first one is the Reigi church. As the flag on the top indicates, it is built in 1807.
Next to the church is also a cemetery, graves date back to the 1830s.
The next one is Emmaste church, located in the southern part of Hiiumaa island. This is built in 1867 as the sign on the wall indicates.
Sadly all the churches were closed and I couldn't get inside any of them, I would have loved to see interiors also.
Soon I will be traveling to Iceland again and probably will see some churches there as well.
