At least when there's nobody to talk to, there's always that app that brings companionship. Even in the period when I feel lonely and sad I just enter Facebook or TikTok to watch funny videos and for that period I really feel relieved.
Take a look at X(Twitter) people are having over millions monthly payout just by making posts and getting engagements. Before, we used social media just to chat and have fun but nowadays people use it not only for that but to get connections, advertise their business and use it a source of income. While I scroll through social media I now engage so as to grow my account and connection so as to be getting paid by X one day. I also join social media to know the latest happening in my environment and the crypto space at large.
Even on LinkedIn, many companies now go there to pick people with good qualifications for jobs. People search for jobs there, get scheduled for an interview and get employed. This is how good making use of social media has been.
I wish I could give the person who brought the first social media a hug. I know it has its own negative effect but now I am so appreciative to the person who has the idea to create a space where people can interact with each other am sure he or she had good intentions.
I joined social media about 7 years ago. The first social media I joined was 2go.
People who were born in the 1999's and early 2000's will understand 馃槀. It was the latest at that time. We all had usernames and levels. The more you chat, the higher you climb.
Then I joined Facebook, followed by WhatsApp and the rest. It's really been a great experience where I have met a lot of people and has given me the privilege to find hive too.
Living without social media will change my life in positive and negative ways. In a positive way, it will stop me from being an addict. To be sincere, I am an addict to my phone and I am sure without this phone I can't have a social media account. Not the gaming type tho but the movie type. I spend more hours on social media than any other app on my phone.
Life without social media will also make me read more books and also have physical communication with my friends. If I am chatting, I usually concentrate on my phone. If there was no social media I would concentrate more on my daily life with no distractions.
If would be better if I never knew about any social media or joined any but now, it really gonna be worst for me if all the social media stopped existing. It's gonna be a lonely, boring and sadist life for me and I wouldn't want that.
