Education is very important and furthering my education has been one of my dreams. Although now there are no chances my parents don't have the money and resources to and it will be better if I study abroad because of my choice of career. Nevertheless I am not giving up and I believe with God all things are possible.
I now understand why many people don't further their education because they don't have the money or they don't see the usefulness because after their 1st degree, they didn't get a good job in their line of study so they don't see the reason to continue.
Other times people see masters and PHD for education. That means for people that want to be in the educational line like professors and lecturers so they can bear that title. But I see furthering education as a way to research more in your career.
I'm currently in my Year 3. That is 300 level, specifically 2nd semester.My course is a 5 years course and in a few months. This year will be my 400 level for my internship.
It's been a ride of academic up and down. The stress of trying to balance writing, school and trying to make an income has not been easy.
But I thank God who has brought me this far. Without any hindrance of strike or any reason which I don't pray for I should be done with school by next year. And yeah I am a medical student that is passionate about her course and would want to further my education.
My country pays less attention to medical practitioners so I wouldn't want to further my education here.
Also I would like to get experience with good doctors abroad.
Currently, I am already searching for a country with less fees and scholarships that will enable me to study abroad.
My parents may not have the funds to further that's why I would like to go under scholarship for less tuition fees. I'm also searching for countries that allow students to work and school, thatt will help me throughout my stay there. I would come back to my country after studying abroad to start up a laboratory or hospital,by then I will have the money to do so.
I would further my education still in the medical field but they specialize in the heart and be a cardiologist. I think this is one of the most wanted doctors and rare to find. Currently in school we are learning everything and I love it, so I can have experience in all medical fields.
Furthering my education will give me more insight about my career, make me meet more experienced doctors and connect with them. I would be under them for over 5-10 years while doing my PHD.
Choosing not to do so may not make any difference but I won't feel fulfilled. I also pray to marry a man that is understandable and follows my passion because I love to see great women in the society.
