we were strangers starting off a journey
never dreaming of what we'd have to go through
now i know a friend like you
can be found in a place i've just been to
no one told me who you are
but you came and told me your name
the sound of it is like a sweet melody to my ear
wind blown straight from heaven
I am glad to know you
brought me happiness so true
when i lost hope, you came to the rescue
and words so encouraging I listened to
a friend like you is a precious gift
a treasure so dear and is best
your hugs and smiles Ikeep in my heart
you're always a part of my life
sweet love showing us a celestial light
never seen such a beautiful sight
your love that grows in my heart
no one can ever take it apart
