Let's take a hypothetical. The whales were all porn addicts. They couldn't live with out clicking on a picture of a woman in a compromising position. Would porn have a chance?
Let's say whales clicked on steem porn more often, that would be a market signal to post more porn, so porn grows on steemit, like a weed. It's just became profitable to waste your time posting porn on steem.
Now let's say that the whales are normal. Porn is everywhere, they can watch it for free anywhere. So what incentive does a whale have to click on porn?
Whale clicks on porn post, it goes up. Whale waits and waits no one else is clicking. Whale lost money.
Porn isn't original content.
Porn is content, but how does someone make it original to get voted on?
