Out of the corner of my eye,
I feel your heart arrest me,
your words a token pulled
from the binding of
running colours, like falling words,
gravity on my page.

they're drawn with what I dreamt,
washing out broken dreams,
even though I knew each step
cost me so much to
grasp brighter tones and
forget what I'm not.

I mostly feel tripped and stumbled,
and all greyed out, but I feel,
filled between my outlines,
when your smile throws me,
unaware, when I kiss you.
